Finally! Artwork update time again! I got so bogged down with writing Neopagan Totemism that i only really had the energy to make a bunch of tails and ears, and I didn't even bother posting them here. However, the manuscript has been turned in to Llewellyn, I'm working on getting caught up on various projects and things, and I took some time over the past few days to make some things that are NOT ears or tails. I also have a bunch of big, elaborate projects I want to work on, too, but I wanted to clear some simpler things out of my system.
So while I was not feeling well enough today for art, I did upload a bunch of stuff. Oh! And hey! Check this out! I overhauled the artwork page on the main Green Wolf site! I got sick of spending so much time making individual pages for EVERY. SINGLE. ITEM. So there's some general information and relevant links, as well as sample pictures. Let me know what ya think!
Aaaaand--the art! As always, prices do not include shipping, animal parts may only be shipped in the U.S., LAYAWAY is available, and part of the proceeds go to groups like the Defenders of Wildlife and Wolf Haven International. Everything is available on my Etsy store and Artfire shop. And if you don't see what you really want, custom work is available!

Materials: Leather, acrylic paint, bone beads, artificial sinew
Pouch dimensions: 6 1/4" x 6"
Description: I had originally planned to turn this pouch, made of rust-colored suede from an old jacket, into a plain drawstring pouch for a rune or ogam set. However, I was looking at the grain of the leather, and the head of a bird-like spirit appeared. when such a thing happens, I like to take paint and bring the pattern out, and so I did here, with light brown and white acrylics. Soon i had the image of a bird spirit with outstretched wings. So that the picture could be more easily seen, I added two bone buttons that I accented with white paint, and used these for closures instead of drawstrings. The pouch may be carried, worn or hung with the 35" long hand-braided artificial sinew cord.

Materials: Red deer bone, cow bone blade, deerskin, acrylic paint, red deer legskin, waxed linen cord, ceramic button
Knife length: 12 3/4" (not including tassel on end)
Sheath length: 14"
Description: I managed to get a hold of the leg bone and legskin of a red deer stag, which are exceptionally hard to source here in the U.S. The leg bone became the handle of a beautiful bone knife, painted in acrylics and decorated with chocolate brown deerskin and braided brown waxed linen cord. I painted the cow bone blade with a stag hoofprint and a line of dots up the center, just on one side.
The sheath is made of more deerskin, and the tanned red deer legskin, with the complete hoof. I added detailing and belt loops made of more braided cord, and completed the sheath with a gorgeous handmade ceramic stag button.
This is by far the most elaborate knife I've done; it would be excellent for ritual work, shamanic and neopagan alike, as well as make a beautiful display on an altar or shrine. Invoke the Horned God, or call on the totemic Stag, this will be an excellent sacred knife for the working!
Price: $200.00
