So--I am open for custom work again! I've been busy enough lately due to a fairly steady stream of requests, but I'm caught up enough (for the moment, anyway!) that I wanted to put it out there that now's a great time to get your order in!

So what do I make? All kinds of things! I use hides, bones, antlers, beads and more in my work--here are just a few ideas:

--Pouches! Drawstring, foldover, necklace (medicine), and more!
--Deer antler rune and ogam sets with leather and fur pouches (for more information on the impressive selection of antler and hide types, please visit AntlerRunes.com)
--Antler pendants (including bindrunes), with or without a wire loop, as well as lots of other jewelry
--Bone and antler ritual knives and other ritual tools
--Totem dance tails, animal ear headbands, full skin totem dance costumes, and other ritual garb
--Wall hangings of various sorts, especially for totemic purposes

Also, no idea is a bad idea! I specialize in making people's ideas materialize into reality, and I love a good challenge! Toss your ideas my way, and let's see what we can come up with :)



Just FYI, there is no extra charge for a custom order. If you just want a fox tail on a belt loop, it'll be $15 plus shipping, same as any other--you just get to choose your tail! Also, layaway does count for custom orders, though if you're requesting something big and personalized enough that it would be tough to sell to someone else, I may ask for a larger than usual deposit (my usual deposit being "So, what can you afford to pay now?)

Please allow 2-4 weeks for the creation of your work, depending on where you are in the queue, how elaborate your request is, and how busy I am otherwise. I am about to click over into 100% self-employment at the end of the month, so I'll have a lot more time to dedicate to artwork. Still, I'm keeping to about 2-3 weeks even being really busy at the end of my internship!

So--here are some pics of custom work:



A current WIP, a wolf totem dance costume, full skin. This is my first attempt at reshaping the face on a taxidermy form instead of stuffed newspaper, and it's a HUGE improvement, so I'm going to keep using it going forward. There's still a lot of detail work to do to this guy, so consider him a very rough draft!



A school teacher requests thirty deerskin little pouches with single antler slices, each carved with a little heart, to give to her students at the beginning of the year!



This customer wanted an extra-fluffy fox tail, so I sent her a picture of the best ones I had, and this is what she chose.



A custom necklace made with larger snake ribs; the customer gave me a very simple sketch of what she wanted, and I made it happen!



A simple but elegant coyote tooth necklace that was requested a while back (forgive the messy workroom fkoor!)



A black fox-themed bone and horn knife with fox fur sheath



Just one of the many custom deer antler ogam (and runes, I make runes too!) sets I've made.

I don't suppose you ever would do anything with domestic geese if you could find them? Skull rattles, totem dance wings or skin, tail, anything....

(Also, I LOVE. THAT. KNIFE. What did you do to carve it so smooth? The knife I made was so much hard work! O.O)

I do see goose wings on occasion; want me to start keeping my eyes peeled? Did you want something specific?

For wings, it's best if they are white, grey, or white/grey and brown wings, but, any colour you can get is also fine, if they are goose wings. (But I think those are most of the colours you would see a goose, unless it's a black goose.) To attach them to a kind of harness or straps, that I could wear on my back where wings would be, would be perfect.

I don't know if it's possible to do anything with a whole skin (if you ever found one) in terms of a dance costume, maybe to mount it on some fabric since the skin itself would be so thin, but, if it was ever possible, that would be amazing....

I'm willing to save up to gather the point of a reasonable price for your work. I have $100 a month personal budget for "luxury" item, so, if it was under that I can pay within one month (like at the beginning on September I could pay) or if it was more than that... I would have to save... but, the possibility is a special item for me, so, I am willing to save for it. ^v^

I've been thinking of having a dual set of ritual knives commissioned, I would need to have it on layaway though since I'm a college student. Maybe made out of fox bone?

Fox bones would be too small for knife handles, but I could do fox fur trim on the knife and a fox fur sheah with bone accents. How does that sound?

Also, layaway is totally doable, even over a few months.

Should be able to do that, yes :) Do you just want the trim on the knives, or the sheaths as well? Any other specific details?
