*sigh* I respect that animal rights activists stick to their guns. I don't agree with everything they stand for, but I do respect it.

I just wish a small handful of them weren't convinced that coming over onto my turf and pissing their ideology all over it would make me change my wicked ways. I mean, I'm perplexed about that in the same way I'm confused about a small portion of Christians attempting to convert me even though been there, done that, got the confirmation and ten years as an acolyte.

(Please don't turn this into "Animal rights activists/Christians are all nutjobs and suck balls!" in the comments, 'k? This is not about whole groups, but about the behavior of a minority thereof.)

I hear where you are coming from. I honestly don't know why people feel the need to inject their particular brand of preachy-ness onto the rest of us as if we are so misguided and misinformed that we need saving from ourselves. I never saw being against cruelty to animals and being able to use animal skins, etc. in ways that honoured the spirit of that creature like you do as being diametrically opposed. The same goes for Christianity, or any other faith: Why is it necessary for everyone to have the same spiritual outlook? Maybe in either of the aforementioned cases, it is to make themselves feel better about their own choices.

It's puzzling.
