Okay. I have slept, and caught up on emails and messages and such, so here's the art dump of the Lupa-calia stuff (minus a few things here and there that sold).

As always, prices do not include shipping, animal parts may only be shipped in the U.S., LAYAWAY is available, and part of the proceeds go to groups like the Defenders of Wildlife and Wolf Haven International. Everything is available on my Etsy store and Artfire shop. And if you don't see what you really want, custom work is available!

Materials: Leather, wolf fur, yarn

Necklace cord length (each): 25" (wolf leg split and leather strap)

Description: The leather for this pouch started out as an old purse; I took a panel of it, plus part of the strap, and stitched them together with a real white wolf foreleg, complete with all five claws. The paw served as a foldover flap, and I used secondhand yarn to create both a drawstring for the pouch, and decorative tassels on the straps. This roomy pouch is big enough for a rune or ogam set, and even a small tarot set. You can also carry sacred stones, herbs, and other special items as well. May be worn around the neck, or over the shoulder of smaller folks.

Materials: Ceramic pendant, wood beads, glass beads

Total length: 28"

Pendant length: 1 3/4"

Description: The centerpiece of this gorgeous necklace is a handmade ceramic pendant featuring a Celtic-styled howling wolf and moon. The necklace is made from glass and wood beads, to include some salvaged from a vintage broken beaded curtain. A beautiful, earthy piece, and one that can be sent worldwide!

Price: $25

Materials: Ceramic pendant, wood beads, glass beads

Total length: 27"

Pendant length: 3"

Description: Waste not, want not! This pendant is made from the end of a real wolf bone that I made into a ritual knife; this bit was left over, and so I added a piece of wolf fur left from another project. In the natural hole in the bone I added a small silver-colored pewter wolf charm, peeking out as if from a cave or den! Definitely a one of a kind pendant! It's strung on a necklace of vintage dyed gray bone beads and white fossilized bone beads that carry the pendant's colors very nicely. You won't see another piece like this one, so get it while you can!

Price: $55.00

Materials: Wolf claw, wolf fur, glass beads, pewter beads, Job's tears seeds

Total length: 28"

Pendant length: 1 1/2"

Description: While cleaned wolf claws are nice, I really love working with those that still have the fur attached, and this is an especially nice one, with a delicate tinge of pink in the silky, silvery fur. Such a pretty claw deserves more than a plain cord with a few beads, so I put it on a fully beaded necklace made from glass, pewter, and Job's Tears beads, all reclaimed from broken jewelry and other accessories. A truly gorgeous necklace with the colors of the Arctic, and a fitting tribute to the Wolf spirit!

Price: $45.00

Materials: Wolf jaw, wolf toe bones, bone beads, vintage wood beads, copper beads

Total length: 25" (not including pendants)

Pendant length: 6 1/2" (longest)

Description: You won't see another necklace like this one any time soon! I took the back end of a wolf jaw bone left over from another project and added some vintage bone, vintage wood, and copper beads to it to make an impressive centerpiece for this necklace! More of the same beads make up the main portion of the necklace, and there are additional smaller pendants with these beads and real wolf toe bones; all pendants were made from scratch by me. The russet tones of the old wood beads, salvaged from a broken beaded curtain, and the antiqued copper spheres, create a lovely and eye-catching contrast with the stark white bone beads and wolf bones. This is not a shy necklace, and the spirit is pretty bold as well! A great necklace for ritual and totemic work, and a stunning addition to a shrine, altar or staff.

Price: $130.00

Materials: Wolf paw with claws, boar tusks, vintage metal chains, black recycled leather

Total length: 42" (not including pendant)

Pendant length: 6 1/2"

Description: In the 19th century, it was common for hunters in Germany to carry small trophies and talismans made from animals killed in successful hunts, both to brag, and also as sympathetic magic for future good hunting. While this is a strong part of my family heritage, I am more of a modern-day scavenger than hunter, and so I spent time collecting these various pieces and parts to create this hunting talisman, imbued with the energy of Wolf as the hunter, and Boar as one of the strongest and most dangerous prey animals to pursue. The wolf paw was discarded from an older hide; two of the claws remain, and the fur is still quite white and clean. I obtained several short lengths of antique metal chain, probably from the middle of the last century. I combined these with hand-cut black leather straps from an old jacket, but for two lengths of chain criss-crossing the wolf paw. Finally, I made pendants of two small wild boar tusks and added them to the chain, and stitched a third to the top of the paw.

Drawing on my heritage, as well as my skill as a scavenger, I charged this piece as a talisman for both the hunt and the gather. Whether you are a hunter of prey, or a finder of reusable resources, may this powerful piece bring you the seeking skill of the wolf and the reslience and bravery of the boar!

May be worn (though it is rather long on short people like me) or hung from a wall, staff, altar, etc.

Price: $130.00

Materials: Wolf foot bones, acrylic paint, wolf fur, leather

Dimensions: app. 1" - 1 1/2" long bones; 5" x 6" pouch

Description: I've been saving up these bones for a while now, and finally had enough for one set of ogam and one set of runes! This is the Celtic ogam set, which includes the five forfeda. These bones have been painstakingly hand-carved with these ancient symbols, and then carefully antiqued and sealed. The pouch is made from wolf fur from a vintage coat, and the drawstrings are hand-cut from black leather from another coat.

This is a very rare offering, and one you probably won't see again any time soon!

This is the Elder Futhark rune set, which includes the twenty-four runes plus a blank in case you use it (or just as a spare if you lose one, and I will happily carve it for you if need be).

Materials: Wolf skull, leather, waxed linen cord, acrylic paint

Dimensions: 24" long (not including leather "tail")

Description: I am offering two new wolf skull rattles, one for romance and one for desolation, to show the two extremes of the human relationship with wolves today.

This one is "Desolation", symbolizing the fear that wolves will tear down livestock, destroy pets, even attack humans--the worst fears of our ape instincts brought to life, and yet sadly exaggerated. The skull was naturally aged brown, though I added patches of gray paint to further symbolize the stark coloration. Leather and cord wrapped around the skull represents how we have taken away the voice of the wolf to speak for itself as an animal and instead wrapped it tightly in our assumptions, much to its detriment. These bonds also tie us tightly, keeping us confined away from our place in the cycles of nature as animals ourselves.

The handle is 3/4" wooden dowel, painted and wrapped in cord, with a leather "tail" at the end. All leather is recycled from an old coat. The brain case is full of small stones which create a sharp, not too loud rattle. This is a powerful ritual item, not to be used lightly, for he carries sorrow, as well as the reminder that we need to reverse the damage we have done before it is too late. However, he also carries the potential and power of that reversal, and so can be very instrumental in rituals to bring that about.

Price: $225.00

Materials: Wolf skull, leather, waxed linen cord, acrylic paint

Dimensions: 26" long

Description: I am offering two new wolf skull rattles, one for romance and one for desolation, to show the two extremes of the human relationship with wolves today.

This one is "Beauty"--but don't let the name fool you. She represents the overly romanticized image that many people today have of wolves, so highly mythologized that they're not even allowed to be animals, with sharp teeth and carnivorous ways, sometimes dangerous to livestock, pets, and even people. She is the lovely mask that is placed over the wolf's face. The skull is painted black with a variety of pretty, but ultimately meaningless, pretty symbols. The bones over her sinuses were missing, so I covered them in black leather, changing her profile just a bit.

The handle is 3/4" wooden dowel, wrapped in the foreleg skin from a black wolf, complete with all five claws, and wrapped with reclaimed leather straps and secondhand yarn braids. The brain case is full of small stones which create a sharp, not too loud rattle. This is a powerful ritual item, not to be used lightly, for while she is lovely, she carries the pretty falsehoods that humans have placed upon this species. However, she may also help to remove these masks and the blinders we wear about wolves, and help us to gain a more balanced and realistic view of the wolf so that we may share the Earth with them more fairly.

Price: $225.00

Materials: Wolf leg bone, cow bone blade, wolf fur, artificial sinew, wolf foot bones, deerskin, ceramic pawprint button

Knife length: 10 3/4" (not including braids)

Sheath length: 7 5/8"

Description: This beautiful ritual knife started with a single wolf leg bone. I gave it a cow bone blade with a bit of decorative edging, and a bit of wolf fur around the hilt. The handle has been wrapped with artificial sinew for a better grip and visual interest, and the pommel has three sinew braids with the ends of wolf foot bones as beads. The sheath is real deerskin with a fringe of wolf fur, as ceramic pawprint button, and more sinew braids with wolf bone beads.

The energy of this piece is light and playful, but strong. It would be a fantastic knife for totemic ritual, and while the blade won't hold an edge as the bone is too fragile, it is a wonderful spiritual tool for directing energy, evoking the spirit of Wolf and other totems, and would be a lovely piece to grace your altar!

Price: $175.00

Materials: Wolf leg bone, water buffalo horn blade, wolf fur, wolf paw, wolf claws, acrylic paint, leather, ceramic button

Knife length: 9 1/4

Sheath length: 8 3/4"

Description: Black and white--that's the theme of this gorgeous real wolf bone ritual knife with wolf paw sheath! The knife is made from a wolf leg bone, with a blade made of water buffalo horn. I added a fringe of real wolf fur to the hilt, and painted several wolves and a pawprint on the pommel. The sheath is made from a wolf paw with all claws, with a black and white ceramic wolf-themed button on the front, and recycled leather back panel and belt loops.

The energy of this ritual knife is very bold and assertive, it would be a great tool for directing energy, calling spirits, and especially for protection and spiritual self-defense, though it may also be used for healing and unity as a balance.

Price: $175.00

Materials: Wolf fur, leather

Tail length: 19 1/2"

Will fit a belt loop up to this width: 1 1/2"

Description: There are many people whose totem is Wolf; if you are one of these, and you wish to carry a bit of Wolf energy around with you, this tail is a good choice! Wolves use their tails for communication as well as balance, two things that are very important to totemic spiritual work. Integrate this real wolf tail into your work with Wolf, and invite Wolf into your life!

Price: $80.00

Materials: Wolf fur, leather

Tail length: 20"

Will fit a belt loop up to this width: 1 1/2"

Description: This is the biggest, fullest, fluffiest wolf tail that I have available on a belt loop! Not only is it a gorgeous color, but it's got a really, really nice energy to it, perfect for working with Wolf the totem! A particularly nice tail for shapeshifting work.

Price: $85.00

Materials: Wolf fur, leather, carabiner

Tail length: 21"

Description: Want to dance with Wolf in totemic rituals and sacred songs? This is a wonderful tail to accompany you! It's a HUGE, fluffy tail--some of the guard hairs are six inches long! Attractive as well as easy to attach, this is a great choice for your spiritual needs.

Price: $95.00

Materials: Wolf fur, leather, carabiner

Tail length: 20"

Description: This is one of the palest wolf tails of the batch; while it's definitely wolf, the coloration resembles that of an Arctic marble fox, with a few splashes of black on a white background. It's easy to clip on to ritual garb with its quick-clip carabiner keychain, and would be a lovely addition to your spiritual kit.

Price: $95.00

Materials: Wolf fur, leather

Tail length: 21"

Belt length: 48"

Description: Want a beautiful, pale wolf tail to dance with? This is a gorgeous choice, with a strong leather belt that you can hang pouches and other accessories from--even wear an athame or other sacred tools in ritual! It's a BIG, fluffy tail too, one of the prettiest of the bunch!

Price: $120.00

Materials: Wolf fur, leather

Tail length: 19 1/2"

Belt length: 54"

Description: This tail was so pretty I decided to make it an extra-fancy belt! The tail itself is very pale, colored rather like an Arctic marble fox tail with just a little black on a white field. The braided black leather belt, made from part of an old coat, has white reclaimed yarn braided in with the straps, and I also added black and white yarn tassels, and a handmade ceramic pawprint button. A lovely one of a kind tail, perfect for totemic dance, shamanic ritual, festivals, conventions, and more!

Price: $130.00

Materials: Wolf fur, leather

Tail length: 21"

Belt pouch dimensions: app. 5" x 4 1/2"

Belt length: 63"

Description: I saved the very biggest, fluffiest, prettiest wolf tail out of the lot for this project! It's a belt pouch set, and this huge, amazing pale wolf tail is on a black leather belt made from part of an old coat--extra long! The pouches are roomy, and instead of leather they have real wolf fur as the foldover flaps. This is a truly deluxe set, one of the nicest I've made!

Price: $150.00

Materials: Wolf fur, leather, carabiner

Tail length: 23"

Description: Here's the very longest wolf tail I have, and one of only two black ones for this lot! A simple, strong quick-clip carabiner makes for an easy attachment, and this is a great tail for ritual use, totemic talisman, and more!

I wanted to create a quick attachment for tails, and rather than a simple, easily broken keychain, I chose the stronger carabiner. Instead of just attaching the metal to the fur, which can be delicate, I strengthened it with hand-stitched leather so you don't need to worry about tearing the tail off like you could with a ball chain or keychain.

Price: $95.00

Materials: Wolf fur, leather

Tail length: 20"

Belt length: 52"

Pouch dimensions: 5 1/2" x 5"

Description: This is one of only two black wolf tails that I got in this recent bunch, and a very nice one it is! In fact, I made the entire set black just to match--black leather from an old coat, and black wolf fur left over from another project for the foldover flaps on the matched pouches. It's a lovely set all around, gorgeous, functional, and full of good spirit!

price: $145.00

Materials: Wolf skin, leather

Description: At first glance this looks a bit like a coyote--but she's actually a rather young, small Canadian wolf with big paws, not yet full grown when she died. She came complete with all paws and claws, and just a bit of damage to her face, so I fixed her up, and reshaped her head and ears--she needs a little touch-up on her forehead which I'll tend to before she goes to her no home, at no additional cost. She's a little thing at 62 1/2" long from tip of nose to tip of tail, and i added straps for under the wearer's chin, at the shoulders, and at the thighs or waist depending on your height--I'm short, so the lowest straps tie on my legs. She would be a most excellent choice for smaller people or those not wishing to carry a heavy hide, due to her size and light weight, and she fits very comfortably. She has a rather shy, hesitant spirit, but very sweet, so don't expect a lot of fire from her, and she may need a little coaxing out, but she enjoyed working with me, so she just needs the right person. If you're looking for a full hide wolf totem dance costume that's not overwhelming, she may be the one for you!

price: $275.00

Materials: Wolf skin, leather

Description: I got this lovely little young black wolf hide from not too long ago, and when I made the little brown wolf hide into a headdress, he decided he wanted to be one, too! He had some pretty extensive damage to his face--his muzzle was pretty badly nipped in, and the skin between his eyes was entirely torn apart so he was rather a cyclops! I fixed him up and gave him the best "face lift" possible, and perked his ears, too, and he turned out to be a handsome boy! He's got pretty fur for his age, beautiful grey undertones with deep black guard hairs. He has a bright and willing spirit, and would love to be with someone who likes to dance! Because of his small size, 60" from tip of nose to tip of tail, and his lack of legs giving him a light weight, he'd be a great choice for someone who's smaller, or who can't haul around a big, heavy wolf hide through a whole ritual or around a drum circle.

Price: $230.00

Materials: Wolf skin, leather

Description: I feel a little bad for this one--when we did the pictures, I had him pulled too far forward and didn't realize until after we were home from the shoot and I was reviewing the pictures. So rest assured, you can wear his head directly over yours when you wear him headdress-style! However, check out the second picture--he also makes a great mask! So you can wear him either way if you choose; I've left his natural eye holes in, but if you want them widened a bit for better vision I can do that at no extra charge.

Anyway, this is one beautiful wolf! he's very pale, though with some lovely golden and dark tones throughout his fur; the pictures don't do him justice at all! He's a nice medium-sized wolf, about 70" from tip of nose to tip of tail. No legs or paws, which actually makes him rather lighter and easier to wear. When I got him his face was all squished with some damage, but I reshaped him and patched him up and he looks TONS better! Spiritually, he's a rather reserved wolf, though friendly once he gets to know you a bit. And he has a very regal energy to him once he really warms up! He's be a superb wolf for ritual work because of this, and I think he'd do well invoking wolf deities and other great lupine spirits.

price: $350.00

Materials: Wolf skin, leather

Description: I LOVE this guy's coloration! He's this HUGE silvered-black wolf cape, and he just makes a beautiful headdress! I only had to do a little repair, plus the reshaping, and he turned out fabulously. He wanted fangs, insisted on them even, so he has those. He's a rather showy personality, too, and wants to be out and about among people and others. He's only 36" long tip to tip as he is now, but he was probably over 80" long when alive, so this is a BIG wolf. Since he's just a cape, he's quite lightweight and so you could wear him comfortably for quite some time, which would suit him just fine. And he's versatile--you can wear him either on top of your head, or as a mask.

Price: $230.00

Materials: Wolf skin, leather, deerskin, deer tail, deer toe bone, deer antler, acrylic paint, coyote teeth

Description: Here's another one of my storytellers! I started with this pretty black wolf hide; he had had some damage to his face, including a pretty sizable hole which I patched up, and I then reshaped his face and ears (which were rather stiff and cartilage-y). He seemed as though he had a story to tell, and so we sat down together and he told me the story of How Wolf Fed the Scavengers, which you can read for free at http://therioshamanism.com/2012/01/16/how-wolf-fed-the-scavengers. Even though the wolf in that story was female, he wanted to embody that tale, so I set out to give him the proper decorations. I gave him canine teeth to signify Wolf's ferocity and bravery. Then I added a deerskin panel to his back and painted it with imagery from the story, and also added a deer tail, toe bone, and piece of antler, which are also key parts of the myth. He has deerskin straps to tie him on, and while this myth is particularly near and dear to him, he's ready for all sorts of sacred ritual drama.

Price: $450.00

Materials: Wolf skin, leather

Description: I've had people ask me about the big white wolf in the custom headdress listing over at http://www.etsy.com/listing/60982665/headdress-dance-skin-costume-custom. This wolf right here is comparable in size and quality to that one (which sold a long time ago). She--yes, this is a BIG female wolf--is darker in color, but she's a similar size, being 81" long from tip of nose to tip of tail, and she has all her paws and claws. Other than a little rubbing on her muzzle, and some holes here and there that I had to stitch up, she's in beautiful condition! I reshaped her head and ears, which came out great, and she has straps at the head, chest, and legs to distribute her weight well. She may be worn as either a mask or headdress by most people. She would be better for someone taller; I'm 5'4" and she's almost too long for my height. She's an incredibly powerful, regal presence, too, which would make her a wonderful ritual wolf. A bit aloof, but a commanding presence as well. LOTS of spiritual oomph here!

Price: $600.00
