New art! Most of what I've been posting as of late has been ears and tails and custom work, but I finally got to make some other stuff and wanted to show it off. (There are also a few tails, and a few renewed pairs of ears mixed in there, but I wanted to post not-costumey stuff for a change.)

As always, prices do not include shipping, animal parts may only be shipped in the U.S., LAYAWAY is available, and part of the proceeds go to groups like the Defenders of Wildlife and Wolf Haven International. Everything is available on my Etsy store and Artfire shop. And if you don't see what you really want, custom work is available!

Materials: Rodent jaw bones

Total length (not including ear wire): App. 3/4"

Description: I was fortunate enough to get some rodent jaws, mouse and otherwise, that had been salvaged from owl pellets, and nicely cleaned up. They make wonderfully delicate earrings, and quite unusual, too! PLEASE NOTE: the picture is just a sample; yours may vary, to include not having the incisor teeth, as these are as-found (other than the cleaning, of course). Please allow for natural variation.

Price $7 (I have several pairs available)

Materials: Ceramic pendant, ceramic beads, freshwater pearls, secondhand wood beads

Total length: 26"

Pendant length: 2 1/4"

Description:The pendant for this lovely woodland-themed necklace is a piece of ceramic textured like tree bark and glazed in a lovely green-brown. The necklace itself is made of green ceramic, coppery-dyed freshwater pearls, and secondhand wood beads reclaimed from old necklaces. A beautiful accent piece to any earthtones outfit, or lovely against a solid-colored shirt.

Price: $28.00

Materials: Ceramic pendant, ceramic beads, vintage pewter beads, stone beads

Total length: 24"

Pendant length: 1 7/8"

Description: The centerpiece of this gorgeous necklace is a handmade (not by me) ceramic pendant featuring three wolves or hounds in Celtic knotwork style, green on white. It's strung on a necklace of ceramic, stone, and vintage pewter beads.

Materials: Leather, skunk hide, yarn

Pouch dimensions: App. 9" x 4" (not including tail)

Cord length: 30"

Description: "Don't skunks smell?" Well, yes, if you make a live on angry and it sprays you! However, they don't go around smelling awful, and a tanned skunk hide doesn't have scent glands--so this skunk just smells like your usual fur and leather! This is a skunk I got from another artist a while back; I added a panel of leather from an old coat, and made a cord from braided secondhand wool yarn. An excellent choice for carrying around small sacred objects!

Price: 42.00

Materials: White rabbit fur, yarn

Pouch dimensions: App. 10 1/2" x 12"

Description: I started with two whole white rabbit hides, and lined them with fabric for additional strength. I then stitched them into this nice, roomy pouch, and hand-braided pale oatmeal secondhand wool yarn into drawstrings. A good choice if you need a bag with more carrying capacity!

Price: $35.00

Materials: Leather, raccoon fur, yarn

Pouch dimensions: App. 10" x 7" (not including tail)

Cord length: 41"

Description: This pouch is all reclaimed materials! The raccoon hide came from another artist's private collection, while the leather is from an old coat. The yarn was bought at a local thrift shop. Altogether, they make a wonderful, roomy bag that you can either leave as-is, or decorate as you see fit!

Dimensions: 18 x 16"

Strap length: 70"

This is actually a piece of mine from a couple of years ago. I made it and sold it--and then the owner let it sit on a shelf, unused, since then, never able to find a really good niche for it in their practice. So it was returned to me in the same condition as it left, and is in need of a good home again!

I used the entire back hide of a red-gold-colored wolf with thick, shaggy fur. It's an older hide, but still made a nice bag. The toggle clasp is a deer antler burr that I carved with a wolf paw and stained with paint. I also added a pair of decorative dangles with bones and assorted beads. The long leather strap may be shortened as needed. An excellent bag for a complete shaman's kit, books, and other sacred items, with plenty of room!

Price: $225
