I know I don't really post here any more due to time constraints, but since LJ was so central to my writing of A Field Guide to Otherkin in the first place (and a lot of DW people are LJ refugees), I figured I should post this here. While perhaps not the best analogy, I am kind of reminded of the time after I quit drinking, and that the kind of person I really was-is-became a lot more clear afterwards. Which does, funnily enough, reflect in some recent Lenormand spreads and what I am currently focusing on now.

'no idea if I'll ever get in to details about that on DW though, especially since I put more personal stuff in my Notes on FaceBook these days.

Personally, I don't want to see the book go out of print, but it is yours to do with what you will. If you no longer identify as therian, well, I'm happy for you because it means you have a better understanding of yourself, and I realize this does not mean you denounce those of us with non human identities. I wish you all the success in the world with any and all future works. I'm glad I got my copy years ago. You are correct in pointing out that it is a bit dated and was rough around the edges, but it was the first of something after all, and first attempts tend not to be ship shape in Bristol fashion. I will always treasure my copy because it signifies a point in my life. I think I'd gotten over my crazy stage or at least was emerging from it slowly, but I still had a lot of emotional investment in the idea that I am otherkin.
