Jan. 30th, 2011 03:10 amFirst, an administrative note--I will no longer be selling Immanion/Megalithica titles other than my own on the Green Wolf. Tay's taking over, and I'll let y'all know when he has his own book pages up for these titles. This isn't a bad thing; I'm just choosing to refocus my priorities, and you'll still be able to get signed copies of my books from me via the website.
Also, regarding this artwork update, my server host has been having periodic blackouts. This means if you can't see pictures, you can either wait and come back later, or see everything on my Etsy shop.
So--on to the latest artwork update, with a TON of stuff! As always, animal parts can only be shipped in the U.S., layaway IS available, and prices do NOT include shipping.
Materials: Wolf fur, badger claws, bobcat claws, wolf claws, coyote teeth, fox teeth, waxed linen cord
Pouch dimensions: 19" x 20"
Strap length: 52 1/2"
Description: This is one of the biggest pouches I've ever made! It's made from a full antique wolf hide (minus the legs and tail), and measures about 19" x 20". I added two decorative dangles made from braided waxed linen cord, with wolf, bobcat and badger claws, and coyote and fox canine teeth as decoration. The 52 1/2" long shoulder strap is triple-braided waxed linen cord--meaning that I made three braids, then braided them together. All in all, I made over twenty-six FEET of hand-braided cord for this project! This is one of my very favorite projects ever, and I'm really hoping it goes to a good home!
Price: $300.00
Materials: fox fur, deerskin, waxed linen cord, fox claws, fox canine teeth
Pouch dimensions: 13” x 10 1/2”
Strap length: 56"
Description: I was walking by a local vintage shop when I saw this lovely fox fur collar in the window, and I ran in and bought it. I then immediately brought it home and made it into this pouch with a deerskin leather front panel, and a braided waxed linen cord with fox claws and fox canine teeth woven into it as decoration. It's a very unusual color, not that common, and the various components really came together well.
Price: $40.00
Materials: Deerskin, calfskin, coyote toe bone, quartz crystal, amber
Pouch dimensions: 13” x 12”
Strap length: 20" (each shoulder)
Description: This is actually a very early piece of mine from the late 1990s, which I used a few times (quite memorable!) and then stuck in a box for over a decade. It’s a backpack that I made from scraps of deerskin velvet suede scraps all patched together, with calfskin braided shoulder straps. I completely redid the stitching to make it stronger (LOTS of stitching since it’s made from a bunch of smaller scraps), but I left the little details I added in like bone buttons for the pockets, and a coyote toe bone, a quartz crystal and a piece of amber for decoration. The straps are tied on and could be adjusted a little, but not much; I made this specifically for my frame. It’s a wonderful piece, and I hope whoever buys it has at least as much fun with it as I did way back when!

Description: This 15" x 14 1/2" throw pillow features a rainbow trout; it's stuffed with small scraps from my other projects--I use everything I can! Because of the stuffing, it does weigh a few good pounds, and so isn't your average down pillow. Also, it's a little rough around the edges, literally speaking, since fabric is not one of my fortes, and it's hand stitched. Still, it's a nice piece, and would make a good decoration.

on 2011-01-30 05:25 pm (UTC)I think I'd like to find a way to incorporate them into a ritual mask, but I am hesitant as I have not constructed one before!
