Mar. 21st, 2011 05:37 pmYay! Finally got another artwork update up, with all the new stuff that didn't sell at Pagan Faire this past weekend! As always, prices do not include shipping, animal parts may only be shipped in the U.S., LAYAWAY is available, and part of the proceeds go to groups like the Defenders of Wildlife and Wolf Haven International.
Description: This 18" x 15" throw pillow features bears, elk, deer, wolves and other wildlife; it's stuffed with small scraps from my other projects--I use everything I can! Because of the stuffing, it does weigh a few good pounds, and so isn't your average down pillow. Also, it's a little rough around the edges, literally speaking, since fabric is not one of my fortes, and it's hand stitched. Still, it's a nice piece, and would make a good decoration.
Price: $20.00
Materials: Paper, yarn, colored pencil
Description: This is a simple booklet made from regular white copy paper, with simple triangular holes cut in the spine to thread braided yarn through. I gave it a Pacific Northwest theme; the front has hemlock, fern and moss, and the back has a drawing of Mt. Hood. I don't do a lot of drawing, but I liked how these came out!
Price: $3.00
Materials: Paper, yarn, colored pencil
Description: This is a simple booklet made from regular white copy paper, with simple triangular holes cut in the spine to thread braided yarn through. One of my favorite things to draw is wolves, so this has a frehand wolf on the front, framed by hemlock branches. The back features a brown pawprint on a green background.

Pouch dimensions: 17" x 13"
Strap length: 45"
Description: I took a whole coyote hide and made it into this roomy foldover shoulder bag. The strap is made from braided leather from an old coat. The poor 'yote has seen better days; he has a couple of bald spots on the back side of the bag, but the hide is strong and in good condition otherwise. Great for carrying all sorts of things--ritual items, small books, tarot cards, and more!

Price: $4.00
Materials: Stone, stone beads, metal hawk foot, glass beads
Total length: 25"
Pendant length: 1 1/2"
Description: This is an incredibly unusual pendant. The stone (I think it may be carnelian) is polished, and naturally looks like a red and orange eye. I set it in a metal hawk's foot that I had; it's actually a very early piece of mine from over a decade ago. There's a tiny bit of glue showing at the back, but otherwise it's a really nice, unusual piece! It's on a necklace of black glass and carnelian beads.
Price: $20.00
Materials: Pewter fish pendant, bone beads, pewter beads
Total length: 25"

Price: $25.00
Materials: Red fox hide, leather
Description: I started with an absolute gorgeous red fox hide from Alaska, complete with paws and claws, measuring 53 1/2" long from tip of nose to white tip of tail. I added leather straps (removable as needed) to tie under the chin, around the shoulders where they join with the arms, and around the waist. This would be a most lovely fox to dance with at festivals and to work with in personal ritual!
Price: $120.00
Materials: Wolf skin, leather
Description: When I got this wolf, he was in pretty sad shape--his ears were smushed, he had lots of holes in him, and someone had decapitated him! So I fixed his ears and face, and sewed his head back on. This is a big wolf--77" from tip of nose to tip of tail! He's either an older tan or not a great one; there are some weak spots in his face that I had to patch with leather rather than stitching, but they're not too bad. He is an absolutely stunning wolf, with paws and claws and thick fur of grey, black and cream with just a hint of brown. Very pretty, and ready for dancing at pagan festivals, in personal ritual, or drum circles. Removable leather straps can tie him on under your chin, at your shoulders, wrists and ankles.
Price: $325.00
And, as always, word of mouth makes the world go 'round--please do pass this on to anyone you feel may be interested. Thank you :)
